How to Write a 2-Week Notice
With great pleasure I am eager to announce to you all that i will be putting my 2 week notice in at Mercy Medical Center today! I was offered a position at CDS (Communications Data Services) today during my 2nd interview. I will be starting the 19th as a Document Development Technician, and will be in training for 3-4 weeks.
CDS is a ‘magazine fullfilment’ company that manages subscription services for most of the major magazines in the US, and has branches in Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. The department I will be involved with handles these clients and works with them to layout and produce the mailers and magazine inserts.
For me this is a huge advancement, for the first time in more years than I can remember I will be working a day-shift job (having worked 2nd shift and Mercy Hospital for almost 2years). And I think my wife is even more excited than I am, she can’t wait to be able to have me home for dinner on a normal basis. Besides all that though, its a great company with plenty of room for advancement, great benefits, tuition reimbursement, 401k, PTO, and last but not least, casual dress code!
