Jacob Heisterkamp

I am a photographer and web designer. I started in both of these areas in high school, and have continued to develop myself in both to this day.

Although I have done some paid photography, most of my work is done as a hobby. In recent years I have crossed over into digital photography and haven’t looked back. I take great pride in my work and continually look for new tricks and techniques to produce the most interesting photos. The use of digital negatives and post-processing techniques greatly expands my ability to create the best finished photo possible.

I started out as a self-taught web designer, and have taken classes to build upon what I already knew. As with digital photography, there are always new techniques, styles, methods, etc. for building the best pages, and I am always looking for the new and best way to accomplish the demands of my clients.

On a more personal note, I was born and raised here in Iowa, and currently live downtown Des Moines. I graduated from Algona High School, and completed an AAS in Graphic Technologies at DMACC in Ankeny. I am currently employed at CDS Global as a Document Development Technician, where I layout and program mailers that go out to magazine subscribers.
